Too Much of a Good Thing
Too much of a good thing can be bad. Sadly, this is the case with most of my favorite restaurants. I’m not the type of person who orders something different every time… I’m the type who orders until I find something I love, and then I get it every single time for the next decade. I enjoy it for quite a long time, mind you, but eventually…I get sick of it. The process starts when I start getting slightly pickier about my order… I’ll ask for it without lettuce, with extra pork, jalapenos on the side, etc. etc. That’s the first sign my perfect meal is going down the tubes. Next, I’ll start paring it down to the bare minimum…what was once a ten ingredient food is now a three ingredient food. That means I’m not far from the last step…not being able to stand the taste and texture of the meal anymore. Sad day when it finally arrives… I need to learn to pace myself! If anyone has advice, feel free to share.
